Good scheduling allots time for each visit based on the provider's preferences, the reason for the visit and any procedures.
In practice
Before booking, find out why the patient wants to be seen, how long they have had symptoms, and whether the problem is sudden or long-standing.
Where people slip
Always record the patient's phone number with the appointment, so changes can be made quickly.
