The idea
Several eye conditions are common in outpatient practice.
In practice
Myopia blurs distant objects; presbyopia blurs near vision as the lens stiffens with age; a cataract is a cloudy lens; glaucoma damages the optic nerve, often through raised pressure inside the eye.
