Diagnosing a Membrane Transport Failure

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

This capstone diagnoses which membrane transport mechanism has failed in each of three malfunctioning cells, using only the transport concepts this unit's closing block has established.

Watch for

A cell can transport water, ions, and solutes normally while still failing at endocytosis, since bulk transport depends on a distinct membrane-folding mechanism that ordinary diffusion and carrier proteins do not use.
