Tracing a Viral Infection from Attachment Through Immune Clearance and Treatment

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

This capstone traces one acute respiratory viral infection from a virion's initial attachment through the replication cycle, an oncogenic-risk check, vaccination status, and antiviral treatment if infection occurs.

Watch for

Each stage in this trace depends on the stage before it— a virion that cannot attach never reaches replication, and a replication cycle that produces no functional virions never reaches release, so treatment aimed at the wrong stage does not stop infection.
