Tracing One Gene from Transcription Through a Finished Protein

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

This capstone traces one eukaryotic gene along the central dogma, from RNA polymerase II's transcription through mRNA processing and translation to a finished protein.

Watch for

Processing steps such as capping, splicing, and tailing happen before translation ever begins — none of them occurs during elongation or termination, which act on an already-mature mRNA.
