The Indus Cities

The idea
Indus valley civilization arose in the early third millennium BCE, in contact with Mesopotamia but planning cities, Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro, unlike Sumer's. Its script is undeciphered, so its fall is speculation: trade disruption, shifting rivers, Indo-European arrivals, climate, disease, or some combination.
In practice
Grid streets and drains.
Where people slip
The exam accepts multiple causes for the decline; the anchor lists them without ranking.
