The idea
Electrodes need good skin contact to record a clean tracing.
In practice
Remove oil, moisture and excess hair where electrodes will go; check that the electrodes are not past their expiration date.
Where people slip
Poor contact between the electrodes and the skin is a leading cause of a noisy tracing, so take the time to prepare each site.
