Tracing DNA from Structure Through Replication and Repair

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

This capstone traces one DNA molecule from its double-helix structure through semiconservative replication to the repair pathways that keep its sequence accurate.

Watch for

Each safeguard catches a different class of error — proofreading during synthesis, mismatch repair immediately after, excision repair for later external damage — and none of the three substitutes for the other two.
