The M-CaReM-AI Method: Defining Work for AI / Unit 7 MCM 169 worked example, 60 to 90 seconds
The Validation Checklist
The idea
The book's checklist says when a thing has been validated well enough to build on.
In practice
Step one: confirm at least one session or round included frontline users, and one included policy or compliance staff. Step two: confirm non-technical stakeholders have accepted the definition. Step three: confirm key properties were reviewed, with missing and unused fields dealt with. Step four: confirm the lifecycle was adjusted to real workflows. Step five: confirm two or three core cards were checked against reality, and walkthroughs found no major gaps, or the gaps are recorded as work. Step six: confirm the open questions section is current, and any AI-generated summaries or examples were checked.
Where people slip
The method asks for yes to most of these, not all. A no on the first step is the one that should stop the team.
