Four Ways to Surface Disagreement
The idea
The book gives four techniques for getting disagreement into the open during validation.
In practice
Step one, red, yellow, green: for each section, ask everyone to say green for looks right, yellow for something feels off, or red for doesn't match reality, and spend the time on the yellows and reds. Step two, teach the new hire: ask whether the Pack would be enough to explain the thing to a colleague shadowing them. Step three, where would you put this: present a messy real detail, such as a patient refusing care after an incident, and ask which thing and field it belongs in. Step four, failure stories: ask for a time this went wrong, and where that story would live in the Pack.
Where people slip
If people hesitate, or choose different places for the same detail, the material cause is still fuzzy, which is exactly what the session exists to find.
