Army-Navy and Senn
Captions available
The idea
Army-Navy and Senn retractors are small handheld retractors for skin and shallow tissue.
In practice
The Army-Navy has a blade at each end and is often used in pairs; the Senn has a small rake at one end and a right-angled blade at the other.
Where people slip
Ask which end the surgeon wants, and pass that end toward the wound.
