Leading AI at Work: Governance, Rollout and Practice / Unit 7 LAI 166 worked example, 60 to 90 seconds
Drill: Translate the Spec
The idea
The book's short drills take fifteen to twenty minutes, once a week, on live work; the first is for analysts and product owners.
In practice
Step one: take one page of an existing specification. Step two: highlight every noun, and propose a short inventory from them. Step three: convert one paragraph of the page into a card. Step four: identify which thing's Pack must be created or updated as a result. Step five: share the result with one colleague before the next drill, and ask whether the card says more than the paragraph did.
Where people slip
The drill works because it uses the team's real documents. A page that yields no nouns worth keeping is itself a finding, usually that the specification describes screens rather than things.
