Leading AI at Work: Governance, Rollout and Practice / Unit 7 LAI 165 worked example, 60 to 90 seconds
Three Fictional Exercises
The idea
The book gives three fictional exercises, each taking one domain from things to a change, to run in pairs or small groups.
In practice
Step one: a public library, the domain of the constructed examples in The M-CaReM-AI Method: draft the Loan's Silver Pack, write cards for lending, returning and fines, then add a rule giving e-books different loan periods, and sketch the Loan's matrix. Step two: an online course platform: write the card that enrolls a student, build a Silver Pack for the Grade with a lifecycle of draft, finalized, appealed and adjusted, and draft its matrix, including a grade-prediction model. Step three: a fictional cash benefit for families: mark the Case and the Eligibility Determination Gold, draft the Determination's Gold Pack and three cards, then change the income thresholds and find the affected matrix entries. Step four: compare results across groups.
Where people slip
The exercises rise in difficulty, from a familiar domain to one with Gold things and law. Running them in that order mirrors the book's principle of layering the complexity.
