Assessing a Change
The idea
The method's impact pattern gives the model a proposed change and the list of documents, systems and reports that depend on the thing being changed, and asks which are most likely affected.
In practice
Step one: paste the reference list of dependent items. Step two: describe the proposed change in a sentence or two. Step three: ask which items are most likely affected and why, one line each. Step four: add the method's constraints: do not invent new policies, and mark uncertain links as uncertain. Step five: treat the result as a starting point and confirm each item with its owner.
Where people slip
The model only knows the dependencies you pasted. Anything missing from your reference list will be missing from its answer as well.
