Checking for What Is Missing
The idea
Omissions are the hardest errors to see, because the output reads as complete; the method's open-questions rule and a deliberate missing-items pass address them.
In practice
Step one: before reading the output, list what a complete answer must contain, from the source or the task. Step two: tick each required item off as you find it in the output. Step three: for anything missing, check whether the source covers it, and add it if so. Step four: read the model's open-questions list, if you asked for one, and resolve each question with a person who knows the answer, recording what they said.
Where people slip
Writing the checklist before reading the output matters. Read first, and the output's own structure shapes what you expect to see.
