This capstone traces one carbon dioxide molecule and the energy that fixes it through both stages of photosynthesis, from light absorption to its export as G3P.

Watch for

The traced carbon atom enters the Calvin cycle only after the light-dependent reactions have already supplied its ATP and NADPH — carbon fixation cannot outrun the energy capture that funds it.
