Two Stages of Photosynthesis

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

Photosynthesis runs in two linked stages: light-dependent reactions convert light energy into stored chemical energy, and light-independent reactions use that energy to build sugar.

Show

The light-dependent reactions occur in the thylakoid membrane; the light-independent reactions occur in the stroma, per Bio 0273's chloroplast structure.

Watch for

The light-independent reactions need no light directly, but cannot run without the products the light-dependent reactions already supplied.
