The Calvin cycle runs three stages — fixation, reduction, and regeneration — using ATP and NADPH from the light-dependent reactions to build carbohydrate from carbon dioxide in the stroma.
Watch for
Only one G3P leaves the cycle for every three turns — the other five are spent regenerating RuBP so the cycle can continue at all.
