The M-CaReM-AI Method: Defining Work for AI / Unit 4 MCM 093 worked example, 60 to 90 seconds
The Hospital Map
The idea
The book draws a small map for hospital incident reporting, which shows the four steps in practice.
In practice
Step one, zones: Intake; Quality and Risk; Reporting and Analytics; Compliance and Audit. Step two, placement: the Incident Report, Near-Miss Event, Location and Incident Type in intake; the Case, Action Plan and Task in quality and risk; the Safety Dashboard in reporting; the Regulatory Report File and Incident Audit Log in compliance. Step three, arrows: an Incident Report may create a Case; a Case produces an Action Plan; an Action Plan has many Tasks; an Incident Report contributes to the dashboard, may produce a Regulatory Report File, and logs into the audit log.
Where people slip
The book says this takes thirty to sixty minutes, and that a messy but recognizable picture counts as success.
