The idea
Arthroscopy uses a scope placed into a joint to diagnose and treat joint, ligament and tendon problems.
In practice
Saline is circulated through the joint to create a working space, so large volumes of fluid are used.
Where people slip
Heavy fluid use means wet floors and impervious shoe covers, so slips and spills are managed throughout.
