Orthopedic Instruments
Captions available
The idea
Orthopedic instruments work on bone, and many are heavier than general instruments.
In practice
Examples include rongeurs for removing bone, elevators, osteotomes, curettes and rasps, powered saws and drills, and implants such as pins, plates, screws and joint replacements.
Where people slip
Many orthopedic sets arrive as multi-tray implant systems, which need careful counting and tracking.
