Clean From Cleaner to Less Clean

The idea
When cleaning a wound, work from the cleanest area toward the less clean, so germs are not carried back.
In practice
A sutured incision line is considered the least contaminated area, so clean it first, using a fresh moistened gauze for each stroke, in straight lines moving away from it.
Where people slip
Never reuse a gauze for a second stroke.
