Ritual One: Object Reviews

The idea

The first of the book's four light rituals is a short review of each Gold thing, and important Silver things, every six to twelve months.

In practice

Step one: schedule the review on a fixed cadence, set by the thing's risk, and name the steward who leads it. Step two: ask whether the definitions are still accurate. Step three: ask whether new fields or states have crept in informally, outside the Pack. Step four: ask whether recurring production problems point to gaps in the Pack. Step five: ask whether AI features have been added that the Pack or matrix should now reflect. Step six: record the outcome, usually minor Pack updates and a few new cards, and set the date of the next review.

Where people slip

A review with no date for the next one is a one-off. The cadence is what turns a careful team's good intention into a ritual that survives the people who started it.
