The idea
The method's healthcare playbook allows AI to support clinical documentation and communication while keeping treatment decisions with clinicians.
In practice
Step one: AI may draft clinical notes from structured orders, results and diagnoses. Step two: AI may suggest next steps based on care-plan patterns, for a clinician to review. Step three: AI may draft patient-friendly summaries of a care plan. Step four: AI must not make final decisions on high-risk treatment without a clear, regulated framework, and must not invent new clinical concepts without review. Step five: all of this runs in governed tools, with clinical and quality leaders reviewing changes to core definitions.
Where people slip
A patient-friendly summary can be wrong in a friendly way. Clinical review of patient-facing text matters as much as review of clinical notes.
