The Multiplied-Logs Error
Captions available
The idea
The multiplied-logs error rewrites log_b(MN) as log_b(M) · log_b(N); the product rule outputs a sum, never a product.
In practice
log₂(4 · 8) = 5, while log₂(4) · log₂(8) = 2 · 3 = 6. The sum was right there and the product overshot it.
