Equilibrium Constant Expression Construction
This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.
State
An equilibrium constant expression is products' equilibrium concentrations, each raised to its coefficient, divided by reactants' equilibrium concentrations, each raised to its coefficient.
Show
For N2 + 3 H2 ⇌ 2 NH3, K = [NH3]²/([N2][H2]³), coefficients becoming exponents.
Watch for
Building the expression from the equation's coefficients before it is balanced gives a wrong expression entirely.
