The idea
Auschwitz gassed eighty percent on arrival and enslaved twenty; only there were prisoners tattooed. The complex spread twenty kilometers with factories and sub-camps, kapos over Jewish slaves. Built in concrete and steel, it was the destination for western Europe's Jews and grew in priority as the war turned.

Most of those spared were worked to death.
