The idea
The Mongols crushed the Seljuks by twelve fifty-six and ruled Persia as the Il-Khanate; Ghazan, from twelve ninety-five, was its first Muslim ruler. The Ottomans, a small principality, beat a Byzantine army in thirteen oh two and held a fortress near Constantinople by thirteen fifty-two.
