The M-CaReM-AI Method: Defining Work for AI / Unit 9 MCM 215 worked example, 60 to 90 seconds
Five Questions at Every Step
The idea
The book gives five questions to ask at every step of the method, in any field.
In practice
Step one: what is this thing, in our world? Step two: what change are we making to it? Step three: where else does it show up? Step four: what happens when policy or technology changes? Step five: how can AI help us go faster without defining our world for us? Ask them in order whenever a request, a design or a change arrives. Write down any question nobody can answer, and name the thing it concerns, so that it becomes work in the right phase.
Where people slip
The book says that following this arc, even roughly, is practicing the method. The questions are the method in its smallest form.
