The Neutral Zone

The idea
A neutral zone is an agreed spot on the field where sharps are placed and picked up, so nobody passes them hand to hand.
In practice
The scrub person sets a blade or needle holder in the zone; the surgeon picks it up and returns it there.
Where people slip
The zone works only if the whole team agrees to it before the case starts.
