Unfalsifiable Is Not False

The idea
A claim that cannot be tested may still be true, interesting, or important; it cannot be settled by evidence.
In practice
Whether other minds exist is a serious question that no experiment decides.
Where people slip
Calling a claim unfalsifiable is not calling it false. It locates the claim outside one method.
