Psychology / Unit 4   Psych 0416 short lesson, about 20 seconds

Color Blindness

Captions available

The idea

Color blindness is reduced or absent discrimination between certain colors, usually from a missing or altered cone type.

In practice

A person with red-green color blindness distinguishes the two by brightness and position rather than by hue.

Where people slip

Most color blindness is partial. Seeing the world in grayscale is rare.
