The idea
Comparing personality theories means explaining one person's consistent pattern from psychodynamic, learning, humanistic, and trait perspectives, then comparing what each can be tested against.
In practice
One case — an adult who avoids leadership roles despite competence — explained four ways in full. The psychodynamic account and the conflict it posits. The learning account and the reinforcement history it reconstructs. The humanistic account and the conditions of worth it identifies. The trait account and where this person falls on each of the five dimensions. Ends by naming which account generates a falsifiable prediction here and which two do not.
