The idea
Sterile supplies are stored where they stay dry and clean, never under sinks.
In practice
Keep them off the floor, about eight to ten inches up, away from outside walls, and in closed or covered cabinets when possible; a sterile item that gets wet counts as contaminated.
Where people slip
Inspect any package that falls on the floor before using it.
