Logic / Unit 2 Logic 045 short lesson, about 20 seconds
Ambiguity vs. Vagueness
Captions available
The idea
Ambiguous terms have several crisp meanings; vague terms have one fuzzy meaning.
In practice
"Light" (weight? illumination?) is ambiguous. "Rich" is vague — where's the line?
Where people slip
A term can be both at once. "Fast" — speedy, or abstaining from food? And how speedy counts?
