Vagueness

This video presents the same text shown beside it, spoken and on screen. It adds nothing the text does not say.

State

A term is vague when it has borderline cases with no sharp cutoff.

Show

"Tall." Six-foot-four, clearly yes. Five-foot-nine — no fact of the matter settles it.

Watch for

Vague isn't meaningless. "Tall" works fine away from the borderline.
