Human Growth and Development / Unit 3 HGD 0329 short lesson, about 20 seconds
Crawling Is Optional
Captions available
The idea
Crawling is not a required milestone: some babies never crawl, moving from sitting straight to walking, or scooting instead.
In practice
A baby commando-crawling on the belly, another crab-crawling, a third standing without ever crawling.
Where people slip
The misconception is that every baby must crawl before walking. Skipping it does not signal a problem.
