Captions available
The idea
Myelination coats nerve fibers and speeds their signals, continuing into early adulthood, while the prefrontal cortex, which handles planning and judgment, is the last region to mature.
In practice
The frontal lobe plans, the occipital lobe sees, and the temporal lobe hears.
Where people slip
The parietal lobe processes touch, completing the four lobes of each hemisphere.
