The ABCs in the Classroom

Captions available

The idea

Applied behavior analysis records the antecedent, the behavior and the consequence, defines behavior so it can be observed, and states the replacement behavior positively, by the dead person's rule.

In practice

"Stay quiet" fails the rule; "raise your hand and wait" passes it.

Where people slip

Behavior is measured at baseline and afterward, so change can be seen.
