Mean, Median and Mode

The idea
The mean is the arithmetic average; the median is the middle score when scores are ordered; the mode is the most frequent score, and a distribution with two modes is bimodal.
In practice
For 2, 3, 3, 4 and 8, the mean is 4, the median 3 and the mode 3.
Where people slip
The mean is pulled toward outliers; the median is not.
