The idea
A nominalization turns a verb into a noun, such as decision from decide, and often forces a weaker verb into the sentence.
In practice
"The committee made a choice to have a discussion" becomes "The committee chose to discuss it."
Where people slip
Look for nouns ending in tion, ment or ance that sit beside weak verbs; the real action is often inside them.
