State

A titration measures an unknown solution's concentration by adding a reagent of known concentration until the reaction's equivalence point is reached.

A buret delivers measured volumes of a known base into an acid sample until an indicator's color change signals completion.

Watch for

The observed endpoint and true equivalence point are not identical in principle, though good titration design keeps the difference negligible.
