The 1,000-Worlds Method

The idea
To compute with degrees of belief, imagine 1,000 parallel cases distributed exactly as you believe, and count.
In practice
Believe 0.3 in rain tomorrow: then in 300 of your 1,000 imagined tomorrows it rains, and any question becomes counting.
Where people slip
The translation runs both ways — beliefs to counts before computing, counts back to a fraction after.
