Zoroastrianism: Ahura Mazda, Ahriman, Truth
Captions available
The idea
Zoroaster, placed by the anchor between thirteen hundred and one thousand B.C.E., taught a struggle between Ahura Mazda and Ahriman, ending in judgment. Every righteous act was a victory for good; truth was the cardinal virtue.
In practice
The magi as priests; Persian kings as Ahura Mazda's agents from Darius.
Where people slip
The anchor's claim that Satan and the last judgment are Zoroastrian is its own.
