Gloves Are Never Cleaned for Reuse
Captions available
The idea
Sterile surgical gloves are single-use items, and they are never cleaned with alcohol or any other product for reuse.
In practice
The WHO guideline states that glove decontamination for reuse should never be performed, and the nursing texts add that washed gloves cannot be relied on to stay intact.
Where people slip
A contaminated glove is replaced, never wiped.
