Cutting Suture

The idea
Suture is cut with straight Mayo scissors, the scissors made for cutting suture and other non-tissue items.
In practice
After a tie or stitch, the surgeon or assistant asks for scissors, and the scrub person passes the straight Mayo ready to cut.
Where people slip
Fine dissecting scissors are kept for tissue, never used on suture.
