The idea
Each sterilized package carries load information so that, if a cycle fails, its contents can be traced and recalled.
In practice
Records link the load to its indicators and, for implants, to the patient who received the item.
Where people slip
A missing or illegible load label makes a recall impossible, so the label matters as much as the contents.
