Xenocentrism is the belief that another culture's products or ways are inherently superior to one's own, the mirror image of ethnocentrism.
In practice
A shopper assuming an imported tool must outlast the domestic one has judged by origin, not by evidence.
Where people slip
Reversing the bias does not remove it; both skip the comparison.
