The idea
Bandura showed that children who watched an adult act aggressively toward an inflatable doll reproduced that aggression without being reinforced.
In practice
Children who saw the adult punished for the aggression reproduced less of it than those who saw no punishment.
Where people slip
The study demonstrates acquisition through observation. It does not establish long-term real-world aggression.
