Finding the Deltoid Site

The idea
The deltoid injection site is in the middle of the deltoid muscle in the upper arm.
In practice
Find the bony point at the top of the shoulder, the acromion process; the site lies about one to two inches below it, in the center of the muscle.
Where people slip
Expose the whole upper arm, so you can see the landmarks rather than guess through a sleeve.
